Achieve higher density and lower energy consumption for demanding computing

Dry Element Cooling
-
Dry element cooling rejects heat only by sensible heat exchange to outdoor air using finned coils and fans—no evaporative water use and no compressor chiller. Warm coolant from your IT loop passes through an air-cooled heat exchanger; ambient air flowing over the fins carries the heat away, and the cooled fluid recirculates. Because there’s no evaporating water, you avoid makeup water, blowdown, biocide programs, and Legionella concerns; because there’s no compressor cycle, energy draw is mostly pumps + fans, which is typically lower than chiller-based plants at the same heat load.

The result is a low-maintenance, water-conserving, site-friendly solution that’s especially attractive at distributed edge locations, with optional adiabatic assist (brief, seasonal wetting of intake media) to maintain capacity during the hottest hours without operating a full cooling tower. Pros in short: minimal water use, simpler upkeep, fewer chemicals and permits, lower mechanical complexity, and good efficiency at moderate ambient temperatures—with adiabatic modes available to extend performance in heat waves.
